the Peace Choir beginnings
The Rogue Valley Peace Choir formed in the summer of 2003. The idea to start a peace choir came from Diane Garcia who sang with the Eugene Peace Choir from 1998-2003. Before moving from Eugene back to the Rogue Valley, she dreamed of starting a similar choir. This dream came true when she discovered that her new neighbor in Phoenix, Lindagail Campbell, shared her vision and was eager to help form the choir. In the summer months of 2003 they set about planning the start of the Rogue Valley Peace Choir. Su Rolle, a friend of Diane’s, and Dawn Sinnot, a friend of Lindagail’s, met with them that summer to organize for the first meeting of the choir. Su volunteered to handle the finances, Dawn the PR.
